Little Angels Learning Academy, a "prestigious progam of excellence with storybook beginnings," is an award-winning accredited professional child care and preschool program for children 6 weeks to age 12: Full-time nursery and toddler program; PT/FT preschool program; before and after-school, holiday care, and summer program for school-age children; drop-in care. LALA is located in a specially-designed, state-of-the-art and home-like, handicap accessible, secured facility and entrace with Internet viewing cams for parents.
The LALA Early Childhood curriculum includes components of Project Construction and High Scope that uses developmentally-appropriate hands-on and authentic learning experiences where we believe young children learn primarily through play. At LALA, we provide an enriching and safe environment for children to play, explore, discover and observe. Various learning activities include: Learning centers, thematic lessons, small group and individual instruction, community service, field trips, gymnastics, music,
Spanish, fitness and health programs, outdoor play with our over-sized age-appropriate playgrounds with playhouses, sandboxes, sun shades, large gross motor equipments, swings, gardens, and trike trails. Balanced meals and snacks are prepared on-site and served family-style. Family and alumni activities throughout the year include a spring learning carnival, grandparents' day ice-cream social, Sweetheart Luncheon, parent-teacher conferences, parent Advisory committee, preschool graduation, and yearly summer alumni swimming party. All children are assessed through a comprehensive keepsake Developmental Portfolio.
CEO and Lead Educator, Dr. Ruth Ann, is certified in early childhood education and has been a teacher of all levels from early childhood to college level, school administrator, special education director, and educational diagnostician. LALA staff are certified in CPR and First Aid, and complete more than the required professional development hours per year. LALA is a non-denonminational and respects all religions, however, Christian principles are followed within the business of educating our precious little ones.
